Optical Coatings

TMS Vacuum components thin film department offers a complete in house design service to industry for optical, electrical and mechanical thin film coatings on silica, silicon, calcium fluoride and a vast selection of other substrates. We use electron beam, resistive and sputtered films from R&D small batches to large chamber multi scale production depending customer requirements. Our clean room and cleaning systems offer excellent substrate preparation prior to coating and our film performance checking facilities use uv-visible and infra-red spectrophotometers.

The standard range of coatings offered is;

• Simple anti-reflection
• V coats and wideband coatings
• Metallic coatings of aluminium, gold, silver, chrome, copper and other less common metals
• Combinations and metal dielectric coatings for performance enhancement and or durability
  

We also provide;

• Neutral density coatings and graduated attenuation filters in metal and dielectric films
• All dielectric reflective mirrors and edge filters
• Conductive ITO transparent thin films of different conductive properties

Optical Coating Applications

Our coatings are used on a broad range from large reflectors used in precision measuring equipment to avionics, medical and scanning devices and the photographic industry including security.
