TMS have developed an impressive range of proprietary techniques in the glass to metal seals bonding process involving brazing along with hermetic sealing and soldering. Our experience in brazing dissimilar materials has enabled us to offer a wide range of Cells for infra red or ultra violet environmental analysis. Cells are usually made with; a stainless steel or Kovar body with a copper filler tube brazed onto the side. Window materials used are from Calcium Fluoride, Sapphire, Quartz or Magnesium Fluoride depending on wavelength. Gas Cells can be manufactured completely in Quartz or Sapphire with the option of a graded seal filler tube to aid the sealing of the Cell. All Gas Cells are manufactured in our Clean Room and are Helium leak checked to 2 x 10-8 mbar prior to dispatch. The filling of Gas Cells can be carried out to our Customer’s requirement.
Our processes cover;
Our flexible package designs, available with glass or ceramic hermetic feedthroughs, ensure excellent electrical properties, superb hermeticity and insulation as well as high corrosion resistance and protection against moisture. We have experience across a broad section of industry sectors including:Sensors & measuring systems
TMS will offer technical advice to specify the best glass, sapphire and ceramic bonding and assembly system for your applications.
